Got off track building classic barstool. Was looking at Ken Lowes barstool that he built from scratch in a couple of days and decided to copy it. Got side tracked again and didn't like the straight side legs and put a few kinks into them. This was built using ¾ sch 40 pipe. (od = 1.050 wall thickness =0.113) Have built a mini chopper (Texas chopper plans) using this pipe. Bent with a HF $69.00 hydraulic bender. Total cost for frame material $15.00 courtesy of Home Depot. After 12½ hours of bending, welding and assembly I ended up with this. I will change out engines soon because I wanted to use the Honda front exhaust engine on my Western Flyer project.

Very nice build. I always admire people that can bend tubing/pipe. The closest I have gotten to that was bending a new set of brake lines in a 72 Cutlass years ago. The lines turned out great, I only wish I remembered how I figured out the bends..

Thanks Mike, check out the bending dies for thinwall at this guys ebay store. It is compatible with the Harbor Freight compact bender. http://stores.ebay.com/Karts-and-Parts also, www.shopoutfitters.com (http://www.shopoutfitters.com) has dies a lot cheaper but I am not sure they will work with my compact bender. As for the pipe stuff, a pipe bender from Harborfreight is about $69.00 and schedule 40 is about $12.50 per 10 ft. at Home Depot. Just go crazy bending and for $20.00 you will be an expert. Are you coming to the National Mustang Racers Association thing this weekend at Bradenton?

Thanks for the info....
As for the races, I am a big block fan and I was thinking about the Chevy Show this weekend. Maybe take the BSR out there and ride it around...
Take it easy...
