 Made it back from our month long trip on the IKE CVN 69,
We did a lot of flying, I tried to get on the site from the the boat, but the web conection was alower than a dial up. Today I Got my BSR out of the garage and did some awsome wheelies, I did notice the faster I went the more the steering seemed unstable or real touchy.
I also need to customize the seat somehow, give a more comfortable feeling on my buttox (forest gump got shot in his).
But I still want it to look like a barstool seat. I still need to do some work on my BSR, more grinding and finishing, and I might have to go with paint instead of powdercoating.
Anyway, Hope all is well with everyone............

Try taking the seat to an apulstry shop and have them add some padding and recover it.

Altrego30,

For your steering, did you go with a steering wheel or a handle bar?

The reason I asked is that I know the steering wheels can give some problems at higher speeds, but the handle bars usually work great. There must be something out of adjustment in the steering. I would start with your tie rods.

I setup my tie rods so both wheels point exactly striaght...I run about 40 mph and no problems with handling here. I can also turn on a dime with the live rear axle.

I will check the settings out, see where I sit, but when I set it up originally, it was strait forward. I guess the more I get the nerve to push it, I find it a little more agressive.

Here is my experience...I was told by kart guys to toe in a little ( no specific measurement was given to me ) I started with a little and kept adding toe in...it was never great and got worse as I increased it.....then I tried toe-out...it got better...and better as I added more ( don't ask how much...just try a little at a time and go back when it gets worse )...but the most by far best thing I did was add (negative ? ) caster...I leaned the spindle bearings 15 degrees to the rear at the top.....it is much more stable....in fact I am crossing fingers for rain to hold out tonight....I go to Greer Dragway for my 2 time slips if I survive...one on "motor"...the second on "bottle"...wish me luck...pics and video to follow
