Ok, I am sure I am not the only person that has had this problem...
On my barstool I have a bottom and a top ring. On the top ring the barstool manufacture decided to place a screw from the inside of the ring to fasten it to the stool legs, unlike the bottom the screws that go all the way through from the outside in with a lock nut.
After riding my barstool the screws on the top ring started to back out more and more often. So I came up with this simple solution...
I got some screws and lock nuts like on the bottom ring, drilled a hole all the way through on the top ring and then took a punch and counter sunk the holes like the bottom and now the ring never comes lose anymore.
I have attached some photos to show you what it looks like now.
