Tecumseh Engine parts? oil cap+dipstick

Any body know where I can order tecumseh engine parts from? I bought a brand new tecumseh 6.5HP engine with the larger gas tank and the oil cap that sits up level with the top of the gas tank. The oil cap is in the way of the bar stool. I see they make the same engine with a smaller tank and a cap that threads right into the top part of the lower block. Any body know if that cap would work on this engine? Any body know where I could buy it?

Have you called your local lawn mower shop? Or tried some searches on the Internet? I have the same engine as you and I was able to fit the engine with the dip stick, just had to be a bit creative. But I had to remove the gas tank, muffler guard and change the air filter out to fit under the stool.

Don't over look your local small engine repairer. I recent found that this little shack was doing all the warranty work for a Very large home improvement warehouse. When I bought my $45 HM80 carb the guy there told me the story how it was originally on a brand new snow blower that got taken home and run without oil. Do the math, and my "used" carb had at most 15min on it.
