O.K. I am trying this again. Here are some pictures of our his and hers stools. The wife hit a curb and tipped hers, tearing the brand new $80 barstool, and it took a year for her to get back on. Hers had a live axle, but I had one of the hubs milled out and put bearings in it. Now it turns real nice for her and is alot easier to handle. I have a B. and S. 5 HP on the green one, and a Honda 5 HP on the other. I took 4 to 5 inches out of the stool height for a leaner look.
I am building a frame for a buddy now, and also working on a mini chopper and a motorized pedal car when I have time.
When it gets a little nicer here in Minnesoooota, I will get some more pictures on.
I sure enjoy looking at everyone elses ideas and creations. It is very motivating.
Keep the ideas coming,

I need to mill my daughters wagon hub. What bearing did you use to do your wifes rear hub? Any info would be helpful.

I used the same bearing that is in my front hubs, with a 5/8" bore. After I thought about it, I sure you could just use a front hub. That's what I am going to use on all 4 wheels of my daughters wagon.

So you milled the axle shaft down to 5/8? That should be easy to do. Thanks

actually, i have a hollow axle, so i got some round stock, had it turned down to fit tight inside the axle, and had it turned down to 5/8 and threaded. then I welded it into the axle. But, if you have a solid axle, you would have alot less work to do. i had it done free at my old job, so not much work involved for me. apost some pics when it's done. I want to do a wagon for my daughter too

Look at what quarter Midgets are using. For them to corner they use what is called a slidder in the right rear to help them turn. This free wheels the one of the tires to make it a sigle driven axle. I used them on mine to help save my clutch.
