Hello, this is my first post as a new member. The information on this forum has been very helpful. Here's my question. I am currently rounding up all of my parts for my barstool and I am stuck with deciding which size rim and tire to use. I have been checking ebay for some good deals for tires and I have found that most of them are 5". Would this be a good size or should I go with a 6" for height reasons? And also what are the typical widths of the tires? I will be using slicks and this barstool will be more for show but every now and then I know that I will get down on it and have some fun.

Hey Fastrob we useally put 5" wide on the front and 8" wide on the back I also just changed our BSR's over to 6" rims we ran the 5" for a couple of years but the 6" gives an extra inch of heighth. If you need rims and tires let me know I just got a ton of 6" tires and rims.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yesterday at work I was talking to a friend and his son was big into kart racing. We talked and I am trying to persuade him into giving me some rims. When or if I do get them I will let you know about some tires.

Hey Woodchuck, Let me know about prices on the tires and rims. I will be needing some soon. All the ideas I've been getting are great. I think I'll be able to build a nice ride because of them.
