gettin my stopin parts together

was diggin in the take off box at the shop the other day and ran across a brake caliper along with line and the resevoir. This stuff came off a bike, i was just wondering if it was gonna have too much stopping power for what im gonna use it for. I planned on gettin a go kart disc brake with the set screws in it you guys reckon that it'll work or am i gonna end up pickin gravel out of my face.

im pretty sure it will work ok, people here use mechanical brake calipers and im sure that anything which is hydraulic is better than mechanical.

I am assuming the bike is a motorcycle? If so what size was it? I would think you would ok as long as the brake is of a decent size.

I would not worry about too much stopping power, the braking is done by how hard you hit the brakes.
