Cool man,
good to hear you scored on the freebie side. What block are they? Are they raptors? Bearing or bushing engines? Aluminum bore or cast iron sleeve? If you will look inside the crancase breather (remove it) where the springs are there will be a number cast into the block with a letter in front of that . The premium blocks that all the racers used to hunt for before the raptor days were th j13 blocks. Some were dual bearing, some were just PTO side bearings, but the blocks were awesome in the days. Hard to come by now of course since briggs quit production on the flatheads. Be careful what you add to the engine if its just an aluminum bore block with bushings, the ole girls dont hold up to well when you start wrenching on them hard. I have literally bvoxes and boxes of used racing stuff if you wanna save some money I might have what you need. Keep us updated and take some pictures as you go

I know that they are 1968 models. The numbers on one of the covers is as follows:
130202 0129 01 6805237
I haven't taken them apart but im pretty sure they are just standard blocks as they came off of two snowblowers....but I will check...I might get lucky.
Thanks man.......

Yah according to the code you give me there just plain jane old 5 hp engines. These are bushing engines and wont take a lot of hot rodding as the rods are weak, the bore is aluminum and thin and the casting is pretty light. Careful what you do to them and good luck
