Hi Just found the forum and thought i'd post some pics of my Barstool.
I live in England and decided to build my barstool after seeing some photos on the web while surfing (very dangerous). It took me about a month all told to get it finished in June last year and I am quite happy with it although I am still doing things to it (N.O.S is the latest thing). The motor is a 5.0hp Tecumseh with a Kart clutch. most of the rear axle parts were sourced from a local Kart shop and the rest made from scratch including the frame & steering gear.
I made it quite strong as I'm not the lightest person in the world and I didn't want it to fall apart under me. I have to say the first time I took it out for a spin I was with my father in law and neither of us could get the smiles off our faces for the rest of the day. It tops out at about 30mph but the N.O.S might up that a bit if it stays in one piece. I am going to be building another one soon as I have accuired 2 x new 10hp Tecumseh motors..... should be fun!
Great forum by the way!!!

I like how you used square and round tubing in the build.

:cool_dude: I think it's kool how u used round & sq. tubing also. :smash: Your design is simple yet looks strong. Where did u get the setup for your handle bars? Looks nice!:thumb: NOS sounds good with those 10HP motors. You'll be flyin in the wind just like the flame on a candle.(Tell Elton I said HI!) Our King & Queen visited England in the 1800's but I haven't yet. Mabe someday or u can come to Hawaii so we can cruise down Waikiki and have a beer at the local pub....... Send more pic's....They are awesome......Aloha from Hawaii....................................................

Thanks for your comments guys, I'm glad you like it. The reason I used round and square tube was because thats what I had to hand at the time, it did make fitting some of the other parts easier as I went along as well.
The handle bars are mountain bike alloy bars $12, and the milled alloy riser was $18. I'm going to be in the states in september for 3 weeks but on the west coast not Hawaii unfortunatly or I would love to take you up on your offer :thumb: I will post some more photos soon but in the mean time if this works it should be a link to a short clip of its first run.
