Hey i am building my second BSR. On the last one i put a clutch. With the torq-a-verter do i need to put in a jackshaft???

I wouldn't think you would have to. The chain will run from the sprocket on your torq-a-verter to the sprocket on your axel.

I am not sure what type of TAV you are using, but the standard TAV's I have seen and worked with, have a backing plate attached to the engine and the TAV drive sprocket is mounted to that.
From there you just run a chain from your rear sprocket to the sprocket on the TAV backing plate. Simple stuff...

On my barstool/beertruck I am using one of the older style very-belt drives such as used on the snowmobile. See:

In that case a jack shaft is required. Easy to do. In my case I set up the rear axle, then aligned the jack-shaft parallel to the rear axle, then aligned the motor with the crankshaft parallel to the jack shaft. My plan is to use a chain tensioner from a motocross thus taking care of chain adjustments. You can find out a lot about this type drive system at:
