My first attempt at a BS racer. Thanks for all the help Mike! My wife says it appears to run on beer. The next one will have a tapper on the side of the gas tank with a "special tank" inside so that I can prove small engines will run on beer. Let me know what you think. Mr P

I cant take credit for the video, it's from an employee of mine, Nate Sandberg. He was going backward on rollerblades for a lot of the shots and "threw it together" in a couple of hours. Thanks for the kind words.

That has to be the funniest video I have seen yet. Can you email me the video as an attachment and I will store it on our server here with a link for everyone.
Our email is support@barflyracers.com.

I hate to admit it but we live way out in the country and only have dial-up. Can not view your videos. Is it possible that you could post some singles??
Thanks.......Terry

Okay... I'll give. Where'd you get the 'gas' tank for the gas tank?? And the mount. It doesn't look like a homebuilt job. Very cool addition!

Did you fab up the bracket for the gas tank? It looks real good.

The tank is a 5 liter mini keg. I bought it on ebay for $7. I cut a nice circle in the top with a 4" hole saw and dug the co2 gizmo out of the inside. I got some brass from Home Depot for the gas line fitting and put it through the bottom. There is a motorcycle salvage yard here that had a pile of various seat bars/sissy bars. I got a seat bar and cut and narrowed it a bit for the mount. Squashed the ends in a press and drilled mounting holes. I also picked up a used snowmobile gas tank with cap for $10 and cut a nice circle around the neck and attached it to the top of the can with pop rivets and plumbers epoxy for sealant. I got some gas tank sealant called red kote and coated the inside of the can with it. Mounting it on the loop was kind of a head scratcher.... I had some 1/2" x 1/8" stainless bar that I rolled into a circle exactly the same size as the ridge in the bottom of the can. I tigged it to a couple of cross bars and bolted the bars to the cut-up seat bar. The vertical straps are made of the same stainless with some 1/4-20 threaded rod welded to the end. There is a J bent into the top of the rod that grabs the top of the can and pulls it down tight. Feel free to use the idea. One more thing... the fitting on the carb had to be changed or I would have about 2 feet of gas line strung through the engine. The fitting in the carb is pressed in and will twist out with a pair of small vise grips. I threaded the hole and coupled a 90 and a 45 degree elbow together and put a hose bib on the end. this aimed the gas line toward the back of the engine and really cleaned things up. Mr P

Bought some 1" bends and a 1 1/2" tip from BMI kart supply and a flange from JTW fabrication. I just cut it up on the bandsaw and welded it up. Didnt have time to get it powder coated yet. Thanks MrP

Was wondering the same thing? Has it just been cut down? Looks like a good idea, may do the same for mine.

The very first time I drove it I crammed on the brakes and went down hard. Cracked 2 ribs! Really! So I cut off the 4 legs even with the top circle support and plugged the holes with Home Depot chrome hole plugs. I drilled some holes through the top circle and screwed the seat on minus the lazy susan swivel mechanism. By the way I sell the stools in our billiard supply store. 866 772 3636 Penguin Amusement

What kind of drive do you use on this beast? Is that a Torque A Verter seems to be a nice setup and what everyone else is using. How much are those stools at your store and do you ship them? Where did you find those tires? I have slicks for mine and dont really like them. I am trying to get started on building one if you haven't figured it out and am looking for some advice. Also where do you find parts like hibs and that sort of thing? Hope you can help me!! Thanks..

Youtube took the video off because of the music. It was the Peter Gunn theme and my guy never got permission to use it. It had nearly 80,000 views when all of a sudden it vanished. I have emailed it to The Big Cheese (Mr Mike) and he says he'll put a link to it on the forum when he gets a spare moment. Hope you like it and the ASCAP police dont storm my house. :hammer:

Sounds like Peter needs to grow some lugnuts... build a racer, and knock a few back. Besides, hasn't he made enough money?
