Hi all,
I have a quick question....When mounting your engine do you bolt it stright to the engine plate or do you add some rubber bushings underneath the engine to stop the virbration?
P.s.. When you ride you bsr... Does it virbrate/rattle if you just bolt it stright to the plate????:dizzy::dizzy:
Many Thanks

I would suggest you to add rubber bushings as we did on the SAE Mini Baja car. It stops the vibrations which could affect the chassis.
I´ve never ridden a barstool tough,.
Good luck

If you have a Northern Tool local they have them. I would think anyplace that sells small engines like a lawnmower or tracktor supplie place would have them. Here's a link to NT http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_35041_35041

Adamski,
On BSR's, I think most people just mount straight to the engine plate. You will see on most go-karts that is the same also.
I just finished my new BSR with a 125cc 4-stroke engine and I mounted the engine straight to the steel mounts and it appears to vibrate less than when I was using a Tecumseh 6.5 engine.
Honestly, it is up to you. Personally from my experiences, I would not spend the time using rubber bushings. What little vibration you do get is not that bad.
Just My .02 cents...
