Air cleaner for Tecumsch

Can anyone tell me where I can find an open or performance air cleaner and adapter for my BSR. I have the tecumsch 6.5hp power sport and am trying to mount the barstool and need the room. This is my first build and I am new to this so any help would be appreciated.

You will need part number 300201 $10.95 Air filter adapter that mounts to your two screw bolts to the carb

Also K&N type filter fabric angled part number 600821 $12.00 or in a tight space a tapered chrome end part number is 600822 $13.00

I bought the full straight one and it hits my stool leg just a little. I would suggest the tapered chrome one because it is smaller around and with the tapered end it will fit any place. If you look at the small carb hole the smaller unit will work fine.

You will really enjoy taking off the two screw phillip head's off the carb end. I stripped mine out and had to cut away the metal rear housing with a cutting saw to bend the metal back so you can use locking plyers 1/4 inch at a time all the way to the end before it would finally come off. You will have to replace the bolts with fine thread replacements from your local hardware store. Use bolt ends if you can find them. It will save you on future problems removing the adapter plate, "Why" I have no idea on why you would want to!

It really made a difference I thought. I also put a header on mine and that really helped as well. I have a 6.0HP Tecumseh good luck.
