There is a thread in the Brake forum here. A lot of discussion on front brakes and I believe consensis was to not run front brakes, just a good rear set up.
You sign your threads with a TX, Are you in Texas, if so, where?

Hello, Front brakes do have a use. You can use them for burnouts, Brake torqing, and to stop faster in a Striaght line. Just not to Fast!! Do not use them in a turn though or you may be licking asphalt from your lips!! OOUCH!!:dizzy:

Here is a link to a SET of front brakes on Ebay. Looks like all you would need is front hubs for a 17 mm spindle and a master cylinder
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gokart-Shifter-kart-Tony-kart-front-brake-calipers-hubs_W0QQitemZ280043480585QQihZ018QQcategoryZ107068QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If that link does not work, it is item #280043480585.
Hope this helps someone....

Ive got a set on my dragstool that came off our shifter karts. I simply used a set of tony kart spindles and a MCP master cylinder hooked via a cable to a kx brake lever. I use it for my burnout and then I have a footbrake on the right side of the stool for the rears thats all MCP just like a motorcycle. Works good and makes a burnout very easy. Just stay off the fronts at high speeds LOL, OH and gravel is a real bastard with front brakes too :cussing:

I too, am a mason. Door to vitrue 46 Maryland. We thought of taking the stool to the shrine, but they have too many wheeled vehicles already. Maybe next year.

It sometimes amazes me what Shriners will think up for parade vehicles. I'm working on a design now based on a barstool racer that will not only wheelie but also be able to drive on two wheels safely. Whenever I actually get to the building stage I will of course post pics.
