I tried to mount my Tav-2 to my 6.5 Honda clone today and found one of the ribs on the driven unit is hitting the rear oil fill cap. Anyone had this problem with a clone or a Honda? I can grind a little off the rib on the Tav, but thought I would check and see if anyone here had a miracle cure for this problem. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Hey b.raven70, Yep...you will have to grind a rib off the TAV2. I've done it to everyone that I have built...You will have to also cut the top off the rear oil fill cap...Then it should fit fine! Snakester:cheers:

Thanks Snakester thats what I figured I was going to have to do, but thought I would check with everyone else first.

Hello, You can either cut to fit or you can tilt the tav down at the back and align mounting bolts on it and it will clear back oil plug with out cutting anything.
