Hello, I am going to use a House of Colors automotive paint and then clear coat using a spray gun! Have to do a lot of sanding and prep this way but Will get the color I want to match my Yamaha Roadstar 1700cc Warrior!:blob_red:

You can go online and find a lot of suppliers who sell House of color Automotive paint. You can also get it at a Automotive paint supplier locally. Look in the yellow pages under Auto paint and body. A automotive paint and body shop can also get it. I believe Napa can get it also. It is one of the best paints you can get and the most expensive! Do a little shopping to get the best price. What color are you going to paint it? Good Luck and post picks of it!:thumb:

Great Info. Thanks Woodchuck!! They have some pretty good prices for air brushes which I was looking to get!! I order most of my House of colors paint a gallon at a time in a kit. Everything comes with it Hardener, Thinner, etc... for around 65.00 to 800.00 per gallon!

Yeah automotive paint is pretty much the best you can do yourself.
My dad's been working with cars for over 30 years(Mechanic, autobody, even Insurance inspector.) And he's always used it on my Go Cart and Mini Bike ect, very nice. Clear coat especially.

My dad buys it from NAPA generally, and they're all over the place so you should be able to find it. Long as you have capable air compressor you should be good.

I had 1 Frame that I built for a customer last year Powder Coated , it cost me $90.00. Is that pretty much in line with what others have paid? The Powder Coating looked really great , I think it is worth the price! It does hide most imperfections!!!

snakester,
I had mine powder coated for $50.00. that included the barstool legs. I had it sandblasted for $25.00 first. I guess 75 bucks total wasn't bad. And is that stuff tough! i had to file some off to reinstall the stool and it was a workout.

If you are in to do it yourself painting her is a link to a place I recently found

http://www.innate.com/home.htm (http://www.innate.com/home.htm)

One of the few places where you can buy small enough quantities of paint to do a small project without breaking the bank.
OR>>>>> maybe you do break the bank and buy some of the exotic finishings like real chrome paint. Check it out, I saw some motorcyle parts painted "chrome" and it is truely remarkable.
