I want to put a motor in my barstool, that will beat my buddies big bore 50 dirtbikes. I am building the classic cruiser kit. Does anyone suggest a motor? I was told maybe a honda 110 or 200 motor from a 3 wheeler? Is that to heavy? I want something fast.

Hello, If you a bad light wieght engine that can wax them! Build it with a Honda CR 80 two stroke! But you better hang on!!! Now if you are looking for dependability better go with a 4 stroke engine. The 110 engine is good and 125 also. Wieght should not be a problem with either one. Look at Rubicons in the Archives.

I did one with a 125....bike would go up to 160 kmph, if geared correctly you could do this faster (I think the barstool is lighter)

has anyone ever used like a three wheeler motor? honda 110, or 200? Did anyone use the classic cruiser frame for this kind of build? Do any of you make any mounts for this kind of project?

Hello, The Honda 110 three wheeler is a lay down type engine and the 200 is a upright engine. Rubicons is a 110 honda clone but bolts up the same. Take a look at his set up in the archives under "Rubicons Nitrous BSR". You could make it fit I believe in the classic Cruiser frame without much trouble. You would have to build motor mounts but would be a easy build just a mount on back for upper and lower mounts on engine and one one the front. I am not sure about the upright 200 engine put I have several around my shop and will take some measurements and see and let you know! Hope this Helps and Good luck!!

I built the Classic Cruiser with a 125CC Three Wheeler engine that had a 4 speed automatic tranny.
