Hi everyone
I'm having a very hard time trying to find out what kind of parts and everything I need for my barstool racer. I purchased an unwelded frame that is offered on woodchuckscustoms.com but now that I have gotten it I'm a little lost with how to get started. I wanted to get the frame welded up and go from there but i must get a motor first before welding the engine mount in place. Along with the other parts I'm totally lost what hubs are compatible with what wheels. Do I get a 1 inch axle or a 1 1/4 inch axle, what size tires, what size gears you name it I'm in way over my head. I was checking out Ebay Item # 270051842841 for an engine. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hey Large,

If you are an experienced karting person APS is good, but they do not know Barstool Racers at all!

Check out BarstoolRacerSupply.com (http://barstoolracersupply.com). All parts for your BSR are there. The parts have detailed information and there are also photos for various parts to help show installation etc.

If you have any questions, give them a call 888-755-2380, they can answer all your questions which APS cannot do.

Hello, Welcome to the place of Help!! Barstoolracersupply.com has everything you need as Mike said. He can help you pick out and get the right parts you need! Also if you look at the forums here you will probably find answers to most of your Questions. Take some time and search the posts here in this forum! There is a lot of good info here! As far as engines go you have a lot of choices! Determine what you want as far as Hp. The engine I went with was a 6.5 Honda clone for my dual wheel bsr. I got electric start but is not neccesary. The briggs engines are great but I would not get anything under a 5.5. The after market engines typed after briggs are ok to. In my first build I would go with a cheaper engine off ebay. I think I payed about 145.00 for mine. Woodchucks frames are good but you just do not get a lot of info with them. As far as what else to get to complete them! Mike has been making and building BSR's for quit some time know and he will be some great help to you. He makes and sells plans and kits. But not only that his plans also come with a list of everything needed to complete it and instructions to do so. I know I sound like I work for Mike but do not. I buy parts from him!! He was one of the ones who helped me get started on mine. Everyone here likes to help! We like to see each others rides come together and help them do it right! LOL  You are at the right place for help!! Give Mike a call! Good Luck! Post lots of pics so we can see how it is looking!! Later!
