Anyone know the best tire pressure to run on bsr's. I have about 10 lbs. on Maxxis slicks but not sure if it's anywhere close.

Hey Papa,
I run around 25 - 30psi on my Burris Treaded Tires and it handles pretty good. 10lbs sounds a little low, but I may be wrong.

Thats what I'm running. I was running 30 psi but with the rough roads here it was beating me to death (I'm old...) I'm interested in what others are running also!

Thanks for the info guys. First chance I get I'll experiment with it to see what rides best.

is it normal for tires not to hold air longer thant 4 or 5 days?

Yep that's normal especially when they have a slow leak in them the air just goes out slow and with a bigger hole the air leaks out faster

o? it must say in my profile that im an idiot. when i check the tires in a bucket of water they dont bubble. i was told thats how alot of go kart tires are. its not like the tires have a hole in them they just leak.

For my racing kart we run 5-8 pound depending on the track. The race weight of our kart is 325 pounds with my son in it. Most of my racing tires only hold that pressure for a day or so..Racing tires are soft and the rubber does allow air to "seep" out over time. I noticed that some say they are running 25+ psi, wow, the manufacturer only recommends 35 max to seat the beads, then to remove that pressure, then refill to about 10 psi.:smash:
For my BSR, I weight about 200 and the stool weight is?? 100 pounds??, I run the Firestone asphault slicks at about 10-11 psi in the rear so that the tread is full contact with the ground. I run about 10 in the front, but my go down to 8 to help smooth out the bumps.....:thumb:
