Ok here is the frame work for my Barrel Racer! I decided to make this a convertible BSR it will convert from a Off Road BSR to the Barrel Racer BSR. I am not going to use the plastic barrel but a steel one! Only had the plastic one available for pic. Will get a steel one today and start fabbing it to the frame. It will have a mounting system that fits into the regular barstool frame mounts except one more set at rear of frame. I am using 4 wheeler tires and wheels to get ground clearance for chain and sprocket, 6" of clearance. The frame is 10" ground clearance. Wil also work on front end today and post pics Tomorrow! Mike thoughs plans are great and had the frame done in about 2 hrs. from cut to finish! Thanks!! Will modify front end of course! See what you think!!:smash:

That Is Going To Be "sweet!".
What Is Going To Really Set It Off Will Be The Paint Work To Setup The Theme.
Could Just Be A White Color W/ Block Leters "beer"
Or Something Really Fancy Like A Sideways "foster Beer Can!"
Keep Up The Good Work.
And If You Had A Tapper And A Pony Keg That Would Be Off The Hook!!!

November 20th, 2006, 09:33 PM
These are 20 X 8 X 8. They came off a yamaha 125 breeze four wheeler. I have several different sizes to choose from put will try these first!

The power plant will be a 6.5 honda clone like my dual wheel BSR. I am designing this for Low end not speed. Will be going with a Hortsman Clutch set up. I have 30 different size rear sprockets to choose from and will try a 72 tooth first! When I am running the barrel as my body the engine will be inside of the barrel. The Middle of the barrel on the bottom will be cut out and the barrel will set over everything except Steering. This will give the engine enough air not to overheat as well. The Handle bars will have a Quik disconnect on it to change them out from a set of Texas Long Horns I am Going to make into Handle bars! LOL:rofl: to the Regular T Bar Handle bars! Should be a Wild Ride LOL. The exhaust will be of course under the Tail I will put on it!! LOL:laughing: Sounds like a Bunch of Bull!!! I will be working on it and post more picks tomorrow!:thumb:

With that tires you might not need the 72 teeth.... Wheel size is giving you a very nice low end if you use a standard clutch....
Well I´m sure you know lots of this....
Ah c´mon moto a 6.5? Well, its not for you, so that´s not a biggie ;)

I got the front end, rear axle installed and Steering bracket put on. I have kart tires on it right now but will be putting 20" Tall tires on it. I am building the hubs to fit axles for them. Working on a front bumber for it. The barrel I will get tomorrow and build the brackets and mount it on the frame! Will post more pics tomorrow of it! Here is what it looks like now!! Let me know what you think so far!

Yo Moto, I will go by there tomorrow and see if he still has the saddle. I buy a lot of stuff from him, he has the yard sale about 2 times a month , but I stop in just about any time. I think he wanted $125.00 for it , but he will make me a good deal. He always calls me if he gets anything with a motor on it ( tillers/lawn mowers/leaf blowers). I will purchase it if it is still there and I will donate it to your project...I will let you know! Snakester:lush: :lush: :lush:

I know what you mean Monkey! I was a bit skeptical also of myself. I thought I had lost my mind. Even considered seeing a psychologist! LOL:laughing: As I was building it my Grandkids which me and my wife are rasing came into the shop the otherday just as I put the barrel on it and went crazy over it. They both want one now! LOL I have not shown any of my work on it to the City council man yet! I think it will be a hit at the rodeo! and then the barrel comes off and a barstool will fit right on! I might even make a few more bodies to fit on it??? I could put a trash can on it and call it trashy stool, A mechanics tool box and call it tool stool! LOL Now I know I have lost my mind! LOL:dizzy: I know put a Port-A-Cool on it and call it a ____________________ You name it!! LOL:laughing:

Hello, Sorry for the delay in progress. This is a very busy time of the year it seems. I build and sell pedal tractor pulling sleds and Disk plows. I have been busy building and selling them for Christmas presents on ebay and locally. Here is some pics of them! I have sold about 30 sleds and 10 plows in the last month and it has kept me tied up. I will get back at my BSR's real soon. The rush is almost over thank God!!:smash:
