Anybody interested in buying an ercolina tubing bender?? I was planning on starting a barstool racer business but I lost interest, so now I am selling all of the tools I bought. I have one of ercolinas 070 medibenders, that I bought used from a friend and only used to make 4 practice bends. I was told that this bender was bought new in May 2005. Looks like it has been used very little, and works perfectly. Bender comes complete with power cord, manual, foot controls and steel case. The case is a little dinged up(probably from shipping) but in decent overall condition. The bender itself is in excellent condition. Before this bender I had both a model 3 and model 4 bender from JD2, and I would say if you plan on making a lot of bends an Ercolina is a good investment. It has progammable bend and spring back angles, foot and hand controls, no hydraulic line to leak or break. Will bend up to 180 degrees effortlessly in less than 20 seconds. Powered by 120V single phase. Here is a link with more information http://www.ercolina-usa.com/medibender.htm. Asking $2800 OBO I also have 2 dies sets for sale. One is for 1" round tubing, only used to make 4 bends - $380 OBO. The other is for 1 1/4" round tubing, brand new - $400. Both dies sets include both the former and the counter bending die. I also have the mechanical tube positioneryou can see here http://www.ercolina-usa.com/rotary-draw-accessories.htm (http://www.ercolina-usa.com/rotary-draw-accessories.htm) (Part# PAR-050M) - $200. I will sell all of it for $3600. All prices include shipping to anywhere in the 48 states. Contact me for more pictures or with any questions.
Thanks for looking

Looks like a great deal for bending up to 1" but after that you are going past the Max capacity of this model. The dies are to costly compared to others on the market. This nice unit has one or two great features. programable, small and light wieght. Just not big enough!! Just my thoughts!!

This bender is rated to bend up to 1 1/4" OD tubing or 1" ID pipe(which is close to 1 1/4" OD). Ercolina is an expensive brand, but they are a commercial quality bender. I was told that this bender will last years in a fabrication shop doing 200-300 bends per day. I originally wanted a bigger bender but most of them require a 220v power source which my shop is not set up for. I also didn't think I would use the bigger capacity enough to justify the additional cost.

Hello, Yes it is a great bender! But what I wanted one for was doing 1" tube up to 2 1/2" tube for roll bars, custom dune buggies, and other projects requiring a bigger bender. I have 220V in my shop so that would not have been a issue. I like the bender just not big enough! How did you like the JD4 Hydraulic bender? It looks heavy Duty and can bend just about any size. The dies are not to bad as far as costs go, Not Cheap either! LOL:wave:

The model 4 is definatly a heavy duty bender, but I do have a few complaints about it. Unless you have a very big compressor I would suggest an electric pump which I think usually cost more than the bender itself. Seems like to do a 90 dergee bend you have to reposition cylinder 3 times. Also because of the slop in the dies it is almost impossible to get two or more bends in a specified plane in relation to each other. So making repeat parts is not easy or really cost effective. I guess bottom line is the model 4 is a good non production bender. But if can afford one you really can't beat an Ercolina.

I dont care what anyone says about the bender. I have been using one now for over a year, and would be lost without it. I have a much larger version, but this one would be awesome for smaller items. Foot pedals and things of that nature! The model I have will bend a 1" solid rod to 180* with ease. You can get repeatability out of this one if you experimented with it.
