I just "fell" into a chance to pick-up a 6.75 Intek off a pressure washer for $100. Will this even fit under a standard barstool or would I need to create my own barstool around it? Any links/ info on specs, mount bolt hole spacing, shaft diameter, throttle hook-up, etc... would help me greatly! TIA!!

I went to Northern Tools today and looked the Intek 6.5's for a quick comparison. From what I can find, the 6.75's are very similar; but still with the unknown shaft diameter... This also brought up another issue; the throttles are not spring loaded to the idle postion, like the Tecumseh Powersports are. It "seems" as though loosening the thru bolt and adding a stronger spring might work, but I would like some feedback on who's used ANY 5.5/ 6.5 Intek engine in their BSR. I'll probably go look at the 6.75, but more info is never a bad thing!!

Hello, The intek is very similiar to most others loosening and putting a stronger return spring will work fine. If I am correct the shaft size is normally 3/4" on the intek 6.5 and 1" on the 6.75 unless it is designed for a special application. They will work fine on a BSR and should go under the stool without any problems! Hope this helps!

Thanks, Moto1fast! I've never heard of the 6.75 before this week, so I just want to do some homework before driving out to see it. Looking at the pics the current owner sent me, it "appears" to have a 3/4" shaft which would be a definite plus. If it's similar in external dimensions to a 6.5, then fitment beneath a barstool should be simple. Any other info is always welcome...
