Hey Mini, I just mounted a set of these for Racer I sold to buddy of mine, he was running slicks and needed treaded tires. I used 4"x5" wheels on front and 61/2"x5" on rear . These tires really look awsome on a BSR and hook up great in the dirt!!! I have this set on eBay with free shipping at the buy it now price!...Check them out and let me know! Snakester:thumb:

Not to knock the tire deal, but I myself prefer 6" tires just for the extra lift on the frame.

Now you can always mount the axle hangers on the side of the frame instead of the top to make up for the 1" difference.

I have used 6" on most of my Racers. The first thing we checked was the rear sprocket clearance when we put on this set of tires. It only changed 1/2" because of the wheel difference , the dia. was the same. It sure made the racer handle different and much better, with treaded tires and a little lower.:cheers: Snakester

Hey Snakester,

Your are right about the 1/2".

I know the treaded tires handle great also because I run them. I have never tried slicks before so I cannot comment.

One other idea if it can be done is to shave the 1/2" off the bearing hangers if you still want to mount on top of the frame. I am not sure if you can get the whole 1/2", but that is another option for some additional clearance no matter which tire you run 5" or 6".

Fenters, That is the last set that I have right now. I do have many more that I need to get together. I bought 4 pickup loads of go kart parts and many tires . Treaded and Slicks.
